Common questions

Acoustic Treatment — FAQ.

The questions we're asked most.

What is sound deadening?+
It’s a damping material applied to your doors and panels that reduces vibration. That cuts road noise, eliminates rattles, and lets your speakers play cleaner and louder.
Does it really make a difference?+
Yes — it’s one of the most noticeable upgrades you can do. Doors feel solid, the cabin is quieter, and the bass tightens up considerably.
Will it stop all road noise?+
It significantly reduces noise rather than eliminating it entirely. Treating more areas (floor, boot, arches) brings the cabin progressively quieter.
Does it add much weight?+
Modern damping like Silent Coat is effective in thin layers, so the weight added is modest for the benefit you get.
Which areas matter most?+
Doors give the biggest improvement for audio, while the floor, boot and arches do the most for road noise. We’ll recommend a package to suit your goals and budget.
